[:1]Greetings!
Like most of my friends, I have decided to return because of the release of Cataclysm, and may I just say, it's been a blast so far. I've not yet received my Cataclysm game, but have all other content downloaded and up to date (I'm going to pick it up today, or commit mass homicide at the post office lol).
Pre-Cata, I was leveling this hunter and attempted a SV spec, as at the time, that was allegedly the leading DPS spec for this class. I have always been BM at heart, and have loved the dynamic, and with all these new pets and changes, have decided to follow my heart once more. I always knew how to pay attention to my pet and utilize it in the best way possible, and the new stabling/pet retrieval options are mind blowing.
I was just wondering what the best DPS pet is for BM nowadays, and what I should stack. I am currently stacking tons of Agil> Crit > Stam. If this will change upon installing Cataclysm itself, or if you have any other suggestions, I would greatly appreciate them!
Thanks guys!
The changes to the exotic pets are fabulous and because you also have a stable for 20 pets so I would try to get them all. I've been trying all of them and for solo or questing or for bosses the Spirit Beast seems to do maximum DPS. For instances I have been starting with Corehound (tame Uvuros - bright green lava is the best!), and after using his Ancient exotic buff (10 min cooldown) switching to Devilsaur for +5% crits for the group. Everyone seems to think the Worm is the way to go for raid DPS but when it does its Burrow exotic attack it loses all aggro, which causes me and others problems but not the "pros". I'm not excited about Burrow - what is great is my Spirit Beast never seems to die, its DPS seems oddly high, and it's fun to watch. The other great exotic pet to watch is the Chimera. Between shot selection, trap selection, and exotic pets I can't imagine anything more interesting and fun than BM.
Stacking agil is best, then hit rating, crit rating and last is haste. Stamina is kind of pointless, but seems to come paired with hunter stuff so it will be high as well.

Thanks a bunch! You wouldn't happen to know what the high DPS spec is for hunter's right now, wouldja? I know it's most likely not BM, but I'd still like to off-spec to be more beneficial.
(I will roll BM as main, and do my damndest to make it high and productive, but if it's simply not what's needed, I'd like to know what is.)
Thanks!
Survival is currently the top PvE spec. Having a BM off spec is a great idea for the exotic pet buffs/ease of leveling.
