Someone explain to me please

i may have missed something but, ive been reading a lot of posts saying Cobra shot will be used for BM. im not sure why, seeing as if u get into the second tier in the MM tree u get improved steady shot, 2 steadies in a row = 15% increased attack speed, can someone enlighten me please?
Because if you use Steady instead of Cobra, you have to manually refresh your sting. Cobra Shot adds 3 or 6 seconds to your sting's duration, plus it's nature damage so it ignores armor.
ok, but surely a 15% attack speed boost would outweigh the SS ticks wouldnt it? spending 25 focus every what is it like 14, 15 seconds or so? isnt so bad imo
Keep in mind that that's focus and a GCD you're not using on Kill Command or Arcane Shot. Those two actually trigger talent procs, Serpent Sting only does damage.

I'm sure someone will math out which setup is better in a few weeks (if they haven't already). I'm just explaining the theory behind BM using Cobra instead of Steady.

does the haste from BM focus fire talent stack with the MM imp steady shot talent? they seem to both be 15% but ISS buff is only 8 seconds and focus fire buff is 15 seconds.

i guess these talents make up for hunters losing the passive 15% haste they used to get from quivers at one time and then was baked straight into the class but have recently lost it again.
Why not use both? You only need one cobra to refresh the sting. I was thinking the same thing for surv, cobra, steady steady each cycle.

yea that was my idea :P like if they stack steady my way into the haste, use cobra when i need to and keep using steady, i think for surv tho u only wanna use cobra since its nature damage and surv mastery makes elemental dmg skyrocket
If I'm remembering correctly, Cobra gives you one extra tick of Serpent every time you use it. You're not going to be able to keep ISS up without manually refreshing Serpent unless you're MM.
